Schaefer’s oils are well regarded in the GM Duramax diesel community. I use my 3500HD as a truck that hauls heavy equipment, however it’s exceptionally well taken care of and shows as showroom new.
I seek out the best of the best when it comes to maintenance, money is no object. I specifically chose Schaeffer’s oil products based on reviews and overall satisfaction from others who are keen on maintenance and familiar with the power plant in my truck. A little more expense on the front end saves on expenses on the backend as well as downtime.
I only wish you included a Schaeffer’s sticker/decal with the order, like many other specialty brands do, for advertising purposes. I like to adorn my Snap-on tool box with products that I use and approve of.
With the frequency I change my truck’s fluids another order of OTR 9000 will most certainly be placed soon. Thanks for offering a superior product!

I 1st learned about Schaffer products about over 10 years ago. I was the head mechanic on a custom harvesting crew that had a fleet of about 20 Semi trucks, and over 20 trailers. I was inspecting the driveline on one of our trucks during a routine maintenance. I noticed the truck had 1 Ujoint with just a tad bit of play. We were in a time crunch and didnt have time to replace the Ujoint. One of my co-workers suggested I get a tube of Schaffer grease and try on that Ujoint until we got the time to replace it. On the very next maintenance schedule that truck came in. I inspected the Ujoints again and All Ujoints were tight and had 0 play. From that moment on, all of our trucks got Schaffer grease.
Shortly after that job, I started a Mechanics position for an oilfield company. It took along time and a few engines to convince that company to change our fleet over to Schaffer oil and grease. After I was able to I noticed a 1/2 mpg increase in fuel economy in the Chevy 2500 with 6.0l, that I was driving for a service pickup.
After purchasing my used 2015 F350 with 6.7, I've been using Schaffer diesel oil, with great results. Long before I purchased the F350, I used Schaffer oil in mine and my wifes buicks. Even in extreme cold temps the schaffer 15w40 in those cars worked flawlessly. I will continue to use schaffer products, in my engines, wheel bearings and other grease points.
